EXPERIENCE
Faculty Instructor-metal clay and patina finishing
Professional career spanning 10 years with experience in teaching art classes in individual and group settings. Hired to teach students basic techniques and encourage creativity in jewelry making with varied metal clays, traditional metalsmithing and fabricating with professional finishing including the patina process. Hands-on background in spatial media; 3D design, mold making, armatures, basic figure sculpture. Experienced in textile design to include fabric embellishment, book making, block printing, weaving and beadwork.
· Developed creative art lesson plan and structure to achieve full class participation
· Engaged students with teaching methods based on learning style and responded to class members inquiries promptly either face-to-face or electronically
· Instructed students in properties of metals and tool use to create original jewelry or small sculptures incorporating all safety requirements
